Your questions, answered

Choosing a family office is an important decision. We believe it begins with a clear understanding of our role, our philosophy and the way we work alongside our clients.

Below, you will find answers to some of the questions we are most frequently asked about Intuitæ and the family office profession.

If you would like to ask us another question, you can do so here

How is Intuitæ different from a private bank or a wealth advisor?

Our philosophy and practices differ fundamentally. The primary objective of a private bank is generally to encourage clients to invest in the products and services it offers and to maintain their assets within the institution.

A wealth management advisor (WMA) typically acts as an intermediary in the distribution of financial products. Their remuneration is often linked, in whole or in part, to the products and solutions recommended to clients, which may be sourced through distribution platforms.

By contrast, Intuitæ is remunerated exclusively by its clients through advisory fees, enabling us to serve their interests without compromise or conflicts of interest. Intuitæ does not manufacture or distribute financial products. As a result, the objectivity and independence of our advice are dedicated solely to our clients’ best interests.

No. We are not asset managers. If we were to manage our clients’ assets directly, we would effectively be both judge and party.

Instead, Intuitæ’s partners have the expertise and resources required to identify, select, and continuously monitor the most suitable asset managers and investment allocators, in line with each client’s objectives and investment strategy.

A family office occupies a unique position within a family's advisory ecosystem. Our role is not to replace specialist advisors, but to coordinate their work, challenge assumptions where appropriate, and ensure that every decision contributes to a coherent long-term strategy. In doing so, we aim to become the central point of contact for each family and entrepreneur, simplifying their lives and providing them with greater time, security, and peace of mind.

Each generation faces major challenges in building a more sustainable world. We view these challenges as opportunities for reflection and action, enabling individuals to give greater purpose to their wealth.

We integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into our advisory approach by identifying impact investments, favouring solutions aligned with ESG principles, and seeking to reconcile financial performance with sustainability.

Beyond investment decisions, we offer tailored training programmes to help families and entrepreneurs better understand sustainable finance and integrate these considerations into their long-term perspective.

Our ambition is clear: to enable our clients to invest and act in alignment with their values, while actively contributing to the major transitions of our time.

What sets Intuitæ apart is the combination of experience, innovation and operational excellence that has shaped our organisation since 2001. We are one of the few independent family offices to offer both Multi-Family Office and Single-Family Office services.

Our team is based across several European countries, bringing together complementary expertise and the highest professional standards required to support families in an international environment.

Our fee structure is fully transparent and clearly defined, as we are remunerated exclusively by our clients.

Lawyers are expert in their respective fields of practice. As a family office, we provide families with a broader, multidisciplinary approach encompassing wealth strategy, asset allocation, financial advisory services (as registered investment advisors), family governance, and the implementation and coordination of selected solutions. We regularly work alongside lawyers and other specialist advisors to ensure that every solution is fully aligned with our clients' objectives and implemented in a coordinated and consistent manner.

Our minimum engagement period is six months, renewable. While we design our relationships with a long-term perspective, clients remain free to terminate our engagement at any time.

Our added value is built on a twofold commitment:

  1. First, help our clients preserve and grow their wealth while optimising costs. Intuitæ acts as a “cost hunter.” Our experience across financial, legal, and tax matters, combined with a comprehensive understanding of wealth structures and financial commitments, enables us to identify significant optimisation opportunities and generate meaningful economies of scale on behalf of our clients.
  2. Second, we simplify the lives of individuals and their families by giving them more time, greater security, and lasting peace of mind. We stand alongside our clients, over the long term, supporting and guiding them across every stage of their wealth journey and often across several generations. At the heart of Intuitae’ s philosophy lies a simple conviction: people come first.
